Dog Point Winery, Marlborough Region
Located in Marlborough, Dog Point Vineyard combines the considerable wine-growing experience of Ivan and Margaret Sutherland and, James and Wendy Healy. Total involvement by the partners from the vineyard through to the winemaking process and beyond ensures that Dog Point Vineyards remains a boutique and family oriented business producing regionally expressive wines with a point of difference.
Dog Point was so named by pioneering shepherds whose dogs became lost and bred to form a marauding pack that attacked local flocks of Sheep. Shepherds named the area Dog Point. These dogs lived on the tussock and scrub covered southern hills of Dog Point Vineyards, a landscape characterised by the iconic New Zealand native plant the Ti Kouka ‘cabbage’ tree which appears on the Dog Point logo. |

Poderi Crisci Waiheke Island
Poderi Crisci is a boutique family owned vineyard on Waiheke Island, Auckland. The Vineyard sits on an area of the Island believed to be 30 million years older than the rest of the island, where we have planted out 12 acres of vines in a rich stony clay soil studded with manganese deposits.
Combining traditional and modern techniques we aim to produce wines that remain honest to the fruit that is harvested. With most of the work on the vineyard done by hand and minimal intervention during the vinification process we produce truly handcrafted and highly acclaimed wines that reflect the time and passion put to use in producing every bottle.
All our wines are estate grown, pressed and bottled, making Poderi Crisci truly unique and giving the wines a characteristic most commonly reserved for established European vineyards. Our passion for producing this style of wines is noted in the varieties planted out on the vineyard, with varieties such as Nebbiolo, Arneis, and Montipulciano complementing the more common New Zealand grown varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Grigio Chardonnay and Syrah. |
